Citrus Australia Conference Recap | 2-4 March 2026

What a few incredible days at the Citrus Australia Conference! Gus, Leigh, and Tom made the trip down on Monday the 2nd of March, ready to absorb everything the industry had to offer.

Monday evening kicked things off perfectly — welcome drinks, reconnecting with familiar faces, and meeting fresh minds from across the industry. 🥂

Tuesday was a packed day of all things citrus. CEO of Citrus Australia Nathan Hancock delivered some standout industry updates — a record 360,000 tonnes exported in 2025 and over 34,000 ha now developed for citrus (a 3% increase on 2024).

The message that stuck with us? "Quality + Productivity = Success"

The program covered everything from global economics and consumer trends to the real challenges facing our industry — labour, compliance, finance, and water.

Wednesday was all about connection — catching up with reps across horticulture to sharpen productivity at both Bellevue and J&T Hort. Tom connected with Adam from Tomra and dug into the Chinese market, while Leigh was busy building valuable relationships with suppliers and collaborators.

We came away energised and full of ideas. Big things ahead for J&T Hort!
